Introducing Bold Raw

We are excited by the newest addition to our kitchen, Bold Raw!

Bold Raw is committed to offering only Canadian sourced and raised meats, free of antibiotics and hormones. They choose to use only provincially or federally inspected abattoirs, and only use meats that pass the inspection process which are deemed fit for human consumption.

Bold Raw is comprised of ground meaty bones with beef tripe, organ and kelp. Simple, yet extremely effective. This blend is easy for dogs to digest, and they thrived on it.  It proves to be perfect for all life cycles – from the youngest puppies who begin consumption at about four weeks of age, to the most senior pack members.

The use of tripe (the stomach of any ruminant animal) and kelp sets Bold Raw apart from other raw foods out there.

Tripe is loaded with beneficial digestive enzymes and lactic acid bacteria. Lactobacillus Acidophilus, as it is also known, is the beneficial bacteria found in most probiotics. Tripe is also slightly acidic, which is beneficial for animals who have digestive difficulties.

Tripe also contains linoleic and linolenic acids, the essential fatty acids beneficial to skin, coat and cellular function and regeneration. Sufficient quantities of EFAs have been shown aid in blocking tumor formation in animals, and to regenerate damaged tissue.
Now here is something really exciting, especially for me as I experienced this first hand with Charlotte, raw green tripe, when fed on a regular basis, seems to lessen the insatiable craving for poop eating (or coprophagia)! Research suggests that dogs who eat their own feces do so because their bodies lack the necessary amounts of digestive enzymes required to fully digest their food. Raw green tripe, with its abundance of natural digestive enzymes and lactic acid bacteria, allows dogs to utilize all of the food they eat, taking away their biological imperative to eat feces.
