To kick off our Wellness Wednesday posts we’d like to introduce Canine Life. We’ve done a few posts in the past about nutrition being the foundation of good health. We dug deep and got to the bottom of what is really in a bag of commercial dog food and our findings were rather unbelievable. Sometimes it takes illness to bring awareness, this was the case for Liza Cowell, the creator of Canine Life.

When Skye, her 2 year old husky/shepherd mix became very ill Liza started to do some research into commercial dog food. Disturbed by her findings she decided to control what she was putting into to Skye’s body. Liza started to bake Skye’s meals and treats, they never looked back. Skye lived a long and healthy life, passing away just shy of her 13th birthday. Skye has left behind a wonderful legacy-Canine Life!
