It's a new year and with that comes new year resolutions. Let's not forget about our four legged family members. Make a new year resolution to commit to the health and happiness of your pet.
Dogs can't choose a healthier liefstyle, we have to do it for them.
The digestive system of a dog hasn't evolved from it's wolf ancestors. An unhealthy lifestyle won't only lead to the obvious problems such as obesity, cancer, skin irritation and poor dental health. Poor nutrition, boredom and lack of exercise may also lead to behavior issues, depression and aggression. Let's not forget vet bills.
Put some thought into what you are putting into your dogs body. Is it fulfilling his basic nutritional needs as a carnivore or is it just convenient and inexpensive? Sure we all like to eat fast food every once and awhile, imagine if that was your meal everyday.
Dogs are at the mercy of our lifestyle. The beginnging of a new year is the perfect time to make positive changes! Remember, we chose them, they didn't choose us. Let's throw them a bone, literally.
May 2011 be a healthy, happy year for you and all your loved ones.
